Our client is a key Victorian state-owned enterprise with a significant impact on the state's infrastructure. They are responsible for the ownership and management of a substantial transport infrastructure network and undertake diverse commercial activities, including property, telecommunications, and major development projects. The organisation is undergoing a period of evolution, and this department plays a critical role with their large amount of reach and influence.

The Opportunity:

Drive organisational success as a People & Culture Business Partner in this permanent, full-time role based in Melbourne's CBD. This is an opportunity to contribute to significant initiatives during a period of growth, with the added benefit of high flexibility through a 3-day work-from-home arrangement. The organisation fosters a culturally diverse and inclusive workplace, where employee contributions are valued and recognised. You will be part of a team of 3, reporting to a Senior HR Business Partner, and working within a wider HR team.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Business Partnering with leadership teams on developing HR strategies
  • Contributing to Organisational Development, Talent Management, and Learning & Development programs across the organisation
  • Managing employee relations (performance management, discipline, grievances, investigations).
  • Supporting the recruitment team with the on boarding of new employees into the organisation
  • Analysing HR metrics and providing innovative solutions.
  • Drive change management and coordinate performance and salary reviews.

Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience as a strategic and proactive People & Culture/HR Business Partner, alongside essential expertise in Employee Relations/Industrial Relations (ER/IR).

You will also demonstrate a strong ability to build effective partnerships, influence stakeholders, and possess adaptability necessary to thrive in an fast moving organisation. While not mandatory, experience in a similar sector is desire able.
