job description

Job Summary:

The Principle Workplace Relations Advisor is responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on workplace relations matters to senior management and employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workplace relations law and regulations, as well as experience in managing complex workplace issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on workplace relations matters to senior management and employees
  • Develop and implement workplace relations policies and procedures
  • Provide a deep understanding of Enterprise Agreements
  • Manage complex workplace issues, such as grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters
  • Conduct workplace investigations and mediation
  • Represent the organisation in workplace relations matters, including at hearings and tribunals
  • Stay up-to-date on workplace relations law and regulations
  • Provide training and development to employees on workplace relations matters

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, law, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in workplace relations, including at least 3 years in a senior advisory role
  • Strong understanding of workplace relations law and regulations
  • Expert knowledge of the Fair Work Act 2009 and contract law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
