HR Partners by Randstad have an opportunity for an Identified individual to join our government client site in Brisbane as a Senior People and Culture Officer. This role will be leading ED&I, Culture and Capability initiatives for the community. This role is looking for an Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander individual focused on enacting change in the community. About the role:
  • Providing expert advice to senior managers by interpreting and applying public sector legislation, directives, policies and agreements, particularly regarding complex and sensitive employment relations matters, case management and change programs.
  • Drawing on business knowledge, workforce data, metrics and other information sources to identify, develop and implement long term strategies to address emerging workforce issues and build workforce capability, business improvement, staff engagement and culture.
  • Leading the development, implementation and review of projects and capability development initiatives in accordance with our Strategic Workforce Plan to support the strategic and
    operational objectives.
  • Actively implementing Queensland public sector strategic workforce priorities into policy, procedures and business activity.
  • Delivering high quality verbal presentations and written submissions, briefs and correspondence, including the ability to communicate sensitive and strategic issues to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical.

About the individual:
  • Of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
  • Accepted as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
    community in which he or she lives.
  • Previous Australian government experience in a similar role.
  • ED&I/Culture/Capability experience in a government role.
