They are seeking a Senior HR Advisor on a part-time basis to provide a high level of knowledge, advice and guidance to the Registrar, Senior Leadership Team and staff, with an amazing team based in Brisbane CBD!

About the role:

The Senior HR Advisor is responsible for the delivery of independent human resource advisory services. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Registrar, and the Board in the delivery of strategic and operational human resources initiatives, including employee and industrial relations, workforce management, planning and reporting, policies and procedures and health, safety and well-being.

  • Maintain and apply high level of knowledge and provide advice, guidance and support to the Registrar, Senior Leadership Team and staff on relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, awards, policies, procedures and practices.

  • Provide an internal human resource consultation service, ensuring day to day needs are met for a broad range of HR services and advice
  • Develop, implement and maintain human resource plans, policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Build human resource capability through implementing and coordinating key strategic initiatives and supporting managers to deliver outcomes associated with these initiatives

About you:
  • Familiarity with governance requirements and independent statutory bodies
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or related fields are preferred
  • Understanding and practical application of legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines relating to human resource activities
  • Proven experience with stakeholder engagement and maintaining complex relationships
  • Demonstrated written communication and research skills including the ability to prepare reports and submissions.
