What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a dedicated HR team, empowering them to deliver excellence in people management.
- Foster strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Design and implement a People and Culture Action Plan that drives continuous improvement and supports the business’s long-term success.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Provide expert HR and industrial relations advice to managers and leaders to ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and enterprise agreements.
- Manage complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations to maintain a positive and compliant workplace environment.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee engagement to ensure a positive employee lifecycle experience.
Workforce Planning & Development:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create and execute a workforce strategy that aligns with both current needs and future growth.
- Champion learning and development initiatives, building a skilled and engaged workforce ready for future challenges.
- Develop succession plans and support the reskilling and upskilling of the workforce to meet evolving business needs.
Culture & Leadership Development:
- Coach and develop leaders, enabling them to manage people effectively and enhance team performance.
- Advocate for wellbeing initiatives that promote a psychologically safe and supportive work environment.
- Lead by example in promoting Barossa Village’s values, ensuring they are embedded in all recruitment, performance, and development activities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Overseeing payroll accuracy and compliance with all legislative and enterprise agreement requirements.
- Implementing HR policies and programs that support organisational growth and employee engagement.
- Building a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring HR service delivery meets the evolving needs of the business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead a small but impactful HR team, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Experience: Proven track record in human resources, industrial relations, and people management, preferably in the aged care or similar sectors.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and industrial relations strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to drive innovative solutions that meet business and employee needs.
- Passion for People: A genuine interest in helping employees thrive and creating a workplace where everyone can succeed.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
- Strong experience in HR and industrial relations management.
- Expertise in employee relations, performance management, and employment law.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in Learning and Development solutions.
- Experience in Change and Workforce Planning
