HR Partners is excited to announce a fixed-term opportunity with a reputable, family-owned business located just 35 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager for a 3-month contract, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer.

The Human Resources Manager will play a crucial role in partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance HR outcomes within a blue-collar environment. Focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, and workforce engagement. The manager will support the implementation of the HR strategic plan, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and drive effective safety practices while fostering a positive workplace culture. This role aims to align HR initiatives with the business's operational goals, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective HR advice and support within the blue-collar environment.
  • Drive human resource outcomes, focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, retention, workforce engagement, and on boarding.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Group's HR strategic initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to managers on award interpretation and relevant legislation.
  • Partner with the CPO on remuneration and wage matters to enhance employee engagement and ensure compliance with industrial awards.
  • Manage employee grievances and performance issues in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the CPO on strategic HR projects that align with business goals.
  • Prepare and regularly update labor plans for all sites to meet operational needs.
  • Analyze and develop HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the WHS Manager to promote effective safety practices across all sites
  • Coordinate Return to Work processes with the Workplace Health and Safety team.
  • Contribute to the development of group-wide policies, local initiatives, and communication/engagement strategies.
  • Manage relationships with local labor hire providers in consultation with the Group’s Ethical Sourcing team.
  • Provide support to the payroll function as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a blue-collar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and industrial relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive informed decisions.
