A global company with family owned Australian roots is searching for an experienced HR Manager to support them as they continue to grow

About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President (APAC) you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR operational services to support staff as well as working closely with the senior leadership team and international HR teams to support the strategic growth of the business

In due course it is envisioned that the role will report jointly to VP APAC as well as have a reporting line to the Global Head of HR.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage, monitor and review the performance management system
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Manage WHS issues and workers compensation claims
  • Maintain company policies and procedures and human resources records.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance including coaching, counselling, career development
  • Facilitate employee life cycle, including recruitment, selection and on-boarding
  • Develop, implement and maintain HR policies and processes
  • Ensure HR and payroll systems are compliant with company policies, government regulations and audit requirements
  • Oversee the payroll function and resolve queries.
  • Manage the remuneration and salary reviews
  • Provide expert HR advice and support across all facets of HR management

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong operational HR foundation, preferably from a standalone role and be able to contribute expertise to a broad range of HR initiatives including recruitment policy ER and supervising Payroll.

A proactive individual who can support the longer term development of the organisation in this region would be highly desirable

  • 5+ years experience in HR Management, ideally within industrial or manufacturing industries
  • Demonstrated experience with Employee relations and IR issues
  • Has empathy, integrity, intelligence and is self-driven
  • Enjoys working independently in a busy, multi-skilled work environment.
  • Engagement in managing safety, health, and well-being
  • ability to provide accurate, timely and pragmatic advice to colleagues, managers and staff
  • Capable of partnering with senior leaders to drive organisational strategies
  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure
