In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting HR functions across their manufacturing business, ensuring that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently while fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution. Work closely with line managers to resolve performance or disciplinary matters in line with company policies.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process for various roles, from job advertisements to screening candidates. Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new employees.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, personal details, and attendance. Ensure compliance with data protection laws and HR best practices.
  • Training & Development: Support the identification of training needs and help coordinate internal and external training programs to enhance skills and employee development.
  • Policy & Procedure Implementation: Assist in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and company standards.
  • Performance Management: Support managers with performance reviews, appraisals, and development plans, providing guidance on employee progression and goal-setting.
  • Health & Safety Support: Work with relevant departments to ensure health and safety guidelines are met, and assist with any related employee concerns or queries.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in HR, Business or related field.
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role, ideally within a manufacturing or blue-collar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, with the ability to provide advice on HR policies and compliance matters.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence employees and managers at all levels.
  • Strong ability to assess situations and provide proactive solutions, especially in employee relations and performance issues.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with the capability to juggle multiple tasks effectively.
