In this role, you'll collaborate closely with leadership to drive HR initiatives that align with business goals, create a positive work culture, and enhance employee engagement.

With the backing of a prominent provider of integrated asset services, the company benefits from additional operational support, innovation, and a wider range of resources. This partnership enables them to deliver sustainable, impactful solutions, ensuring continued success as they meet the evolving needs of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee & Manager Support: Offer coaching and guidance on key HR processes such as performance reviews, talent mapping, career development, and salary reviews. Deliver training where necessary to ensure HR deadlines are met.

  • Expert HR Advice: Provide expert advice on HR, Employment, and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) matters, including interpreting legislation, enterprise agreements, and employment laws. Advise on remuneration, benefits, and compliance across the business.

  • Conflict Resolution: Guide managers through performance management issues, disciplinary actions, and employee counselling. Support the resolution of disputes to maintain a productive and positive workplace culture.

  • HR & Payroll Alignment: Work closely with payroll to ensure HR policies are aligned with payroll practices, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Assist with resolving payroll discrepancies.

  • Organisational Change & Development: Support organisational growth through effective HR solutions, workforce planning, and policy development. Contribute to change management and HR reporting.

  • Dispute Management: Manage employee claims and disputes, including unfair dismissal and adverse actions, and assist with conciliation and hearings as necessary.

Skills and Experience:

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams, balancing priorities and deadlines while creating a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • HR Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HR principles, employee relations, and industrial relations. Strong ability to interpret legislation and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance.

  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and engage with internal stakeholders. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues, identify innovative solutions, and manage change effectively.

  • Culture Change: Proven ability to lead and influence culture change initiatives, fostering employee engagement and alignment with organisational values.

  • Confidentiality & Integrity: High degree of professionalism and discretion in managing sensitive HR matters.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in human resource management, employee relations, and industrial relations.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret trends and inform HR strategy.
  • Proven experience in handling complex workplace issues and driving HR initiatives.
