job description

Reporting to the Head of P&C and in consultation with the business you will facilitate people process and strategy for growth

About the company

Join an opportunity in a large and well established company, working with stakeholders in multiple states and partner with the upper management as this role is based in the head office in the Brisbane CBD. Report to the Head of P&C and mentor more HR Professionals across all ER/IR related issues, work closely with the L&D and Law team in the business.

About the role

This exciting position has arisen for a true generalist. You will develop, manage and implement a range of human resource initiatives that meet the business objectives. This multi-site client group covers circa 900 FTE based in different states.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Providing expert advice, coaching and support to the management and staff on a broad range of HR issues;
  • Support business leaders with performance management, implementation of key enterprise wide initiatives, performance review processes, recruitment and selection and industrial relations advice;
  • Provide generalist and specialist advice during project scoping process working with the relevant divisional Leadership teams and the Human Resources team and third party service providers;
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to employees and People Leaders in relation to Human Resource policies and processes of the organisation;
  • Undertake ad hoc projects.

Skills and experience

Your broad range of experience within HR will hold you in good stead to proactively deal with HR issues; you will be a strong communicator with strong commercial acumen and a flair for negotiating and achieving outcomes. You will have the ability to work with a high level of autonomy.

You will be tertiary qualified in either Human Resources or a related discipline. Your proven experience partnering in a strategic and operational capacity demonstrating strong influence, negotiation skills will be highly regarded, as will industry experience from early childhood education.
