HR Partners is working closely with a South Australian Government body to recruit a motivated and capable Assistant HR Business Partner. This opportunity sits within a people and culture team of a central government agency that plays an important role in upholding justice, safeguarding community rights, enhancing public safety, and contributing to a fair and accessible legal system in South Australia.

The Opportunity:

In this hands-on role, you will provide comprehensive HR administrative and recruitment support, collaborating with a dedicated team to drive efficient recruitment processes, foster employee engagement, and contribute to workforce development initiatives. This is a full-time temporary opportunity running through to the 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension. Located in Adelaide’s CBD, the role offers an immediate start and the opportunity to be part of a passionate and purpose-led HR team where your contributions will truly make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver administrative and operational support across HR functions, including end to end recruitment, onboarding and record management

  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employment conditions, and the SA public sector industrial framework.

  • Support employee relations, performance management, injury/illness cases, and cultural initiatives.

  • Maintain HR records and contribute to workforce planning, classification reviews, and reporting.

  • Partner with hiring managers through all stages of recruitment, including panel coordination and documentation.

  • Draft and update Job and Person Specifications aligned with government classification standards.

  • Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and internal resource development.

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.


About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have...
  • Proven experience within a HR Advisor / Business Partering capacity ideally within the South Australian Government or similar field.
  • Highly organised with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
